Resources for churches

The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Rt Revd Rowan Williams, spoke in March 2009 about the Christian responsibility to respect and care for the environment, noting that ecological questions are ‘increasingly... defined as issues of justice… both to those who now have no part in decision-making at the global level yet bear the heaviest burdens as a consequence of the irresponsibility of wealthier nations, and to those who will succeed us on this planet – justice to our children and grandchildren.’

For Christians, climate change is a justice issue. As together we raise the profile of this issue within the Church, the following materials will provide you with information, statements, presentations and prayers to equip and to inspire.
